Click HERE for the weekly order form.
Please note that this form is NOT fillable from a mobile device or tablet unless you have Adobe installed. We apologize for the inconvenience. A new form has been created and will be posted for next week's market. In the meantime, please email your orders to SecondStageMarket@gmail.com if you're unable to fill in the form.
We are also unable to accept SNAP benefits this week. We expect to have that system up and running for next week's market as well.
The Farmers' Market will open April 9th this year to provide you the opportunity to purchase local food handled solely by the farmer and market workers. This will be on a pre-order basis with pickup of your bagged order on Thursdays from 3:30 - 5:30. This will be drive through only. We are accepting cash only unless you prepaid the vendors directly. The shopping list will be available every Monday morning. It can be completed electronically with Adobe acrobat or printed and scanned after you complete. Orders should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Tuesday each week. Click HERE for the weekly order form.
Our farmers' market accepts SNAP benefits.... AND, because of a cooperation with Virginia Fresh Match, we will be able to double all SNAP dollars through the 2019 summer season (or until all funds are expended).**NOTE** We aren't able to accept SNAP benefits the first Thursday of the season, April 9th. We hope to have the system up and running by next week.**
HOW SNAP WORKS:
With their EBT card, SNAP clients can buy specially printed “wooden nickel” tokens at the market that are worth $1 each and good only with Amherst market vendors.
- The tokens can be exchanged for qualifying fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, herbs, breads and other baked goods, honey, processed foods such as jams, pickles and dressings, plus seeds and plants to grow consumable food for the household.
- The tokens cannot buy any hot or ready to eat food items, pet foods or non-foods items such as flowers, soaps/lotions, art or crafts.
- The Match tokens can only be used for fresh produce.
- No change can be given for the $1 token.
