2-Part Virtual Painting Workshop April 11-12, 7:00-8:30 PM Painting offers an easy way into meditation and mindfulness. Using our hands creates an opportunity for our busy minds to be quiet. The process of creating neuro art is a creative wellness practice you can continue to use after this online class experience together. In this two-part workshop, you will practice easy ways to draw and paint your way into mindfulness. Join instructor Karen Wade for this two-part painting workshop. Karen Wade has a BA in studio art and a current teaching certificate in visual arts and in gifted education. She has taught art in public and private schools from pre-K to 12th grade for the past 20 years. She teaches full-time on Outschool.com. |

In the first session, participants will take time to breathe and connect with their intention, then follow an intuitive painting process together to create a color field. Virtual Book Reading Series
February-April 2021 The "Read to Me" series featured a different local published author or aspiring writer reading a selection from a favorite literary work or their own work. Featured guests read excerpts from "The Selected Works of Audre Lorde", "Wisdom Teeth" by Derrick Weston Brown, "The Warmth of Other Suns" by Isabel Wilkerson, "Still I Rise" by Maya Angelou, "This Is Your Time" by Ruby Bridges, and others.
